Duterte and Robredo biggest gainers in the WR Numero Q2 National Survey
Vice President Sara Duterte and Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo recorded the largest increases in presidential voter preference, according to the latest WR National Poll conducted by WR Numero Research, the polling and survey research arm of WR Advisory Group.
The June 2026 WR National Poll: Philippine Public Opinion Monitor asked Filipinos whom they would vote for as president if the 2028 national elections were held at the time of the survey. Duterte remained the leading preferred presidential candidate with 39%, up 4 percentage points from March 2026.
Despite repeatedly stating that she does not intend to run for president, Robredo ranked second with 21%, up five percentage points from the March 2026 survey. Senator Raffy Tulfo placed third with 14%, following a four-point decline in voter preference.
They were followed by Senators Bong Go (4%), Bam Aquino (3%), and Risa Hontiveros (2%). Meanwhile, 17% of respondents remained undecided about whom they would vote for as president.
When asked whether they might change their preferred candidate in the 2028 national elections, 58% of Filipino respondents said they would stick with their current presidential choice, while 42% said they might still change their minds.
The findings are part of the WR National Poll: Philippine Public Opinion Monitor, Volume 2026, Issue 10, covering the June 2026 National Survey. The full report is available at https://tinyurl.com/PPOMPublicDoc.

PRESS RELEASE
2028 VP race remains wide open–WR Numero Survey shows
No clear frontrunner has emerged in the 2028 vice presidential race, as Senators Robinhood Padilla and Bong Go are statistically tied in voter preference, according to the June 2026 WR Numero Philippine Public Opinion Monitor.
Padilla received 21.3% support, narrowly ahead of Go’s 20.6%. Their 0.7-percentage-point difference, however, falls within the survey’s ±3-percentage-point national margin of error, indicating that neither candidate holds a statistically decisive lead. Both senators also posted sharp gains from the previous survey (March 2026). Padilla’s voter preference increased by 10 percentage points, while Go’s rose by 8 points.
Former Senator Grace Poe ranked third with 15%, up three percentage points from the previous survey. She was followed by Senators Bam Aquino (10%), Risa Hontiveros (8%), and Kiko Pangilinan (7%). Another 18% of respondents remained undecided about their vice-presidential choice.
The findings also suggest that the race remains fluid. When asked whether they might change their preferred candidate, 55% of respondents said they would remain with their current choice, while 45%, or nearly half, said they might still reconsider.
The June 2026 nationwide survey was conducted from June 9 to 16 through face-to-face interviews with a nationally representative sample of 1,432 Filipinos residing in the Philippines. The survey has a ±3-percentage-point margin of error at the 95% confidence level. At the subnational level, the margin of error is ±7 percentage points for the National Capital Region, ±4 points for the rest of Luzon, and ±6 points each for the Visayas and Mindanao, all at the same 95% confidence level.
The findings are part of the WR National Poll: Philippine Public Opinion Monitor, Volume 2026, Issue 10, covering the June 2026 National Survey.
